Privacy and Terms
We value your privacy above everything. This page explains how My Note Page works, what data is (not) collected, and the terms under which you may use it. By using My Note Page, you agree to these Privacy and Terms.
1. Privacy Policy
-
No sign-up. No tracking. No ads.
We never ask who you are, we never track your activity, and we never show ads. -
Your notes never leave your device.
All notes are stored locally in your browser using IndexedDB. They are never uploaded to any server or cloud. -
We can't see, access, or restore your notes.
Your notes are visible only to you – and only when you visit https://mynote.page using the same browser where you created them. -
Deletion and Trash.
Deleted notes move to Trash for up to 7 days before permanent deletion. Once permanently deleted, they cannot be recovered. We do not keep backups. -
Clear All Notes is permanent.
Using the Clear All Notes option deletes all notes instantly from your browser, with no recovery possible. -
Device responsibility.
Anyone with access to your device and browser can read your notes. Please use device-level protections (screen lock, passcode, OS/browser profiles). -
Import and export.
Notes you import from or export to .txt files remain private and never leave your device. Use Import Notes to bring notes in, or Download All Notes to create a local backup. -
Search and statistics are local.
Searching your notes and viewing statistics happen entirely inside your browser – nothing is sent to any server. Search is case-insensitive (e.g., searching "TODO" or "todo" gives the same results). Use Search Notes or View Statistics anytime. -
Offline functionality via Service Worker.
My Note Page uses Service Worker technology to cache app files locally on your device, allowing the app to work completely offline after the first visit. The Service Worker only caches static files (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, fonts) and does not access, collect, or transmit your notes. -
No cookies. No fingerprinting.
We do not use cookies, device fingerprinting, or hidden trackers. Your display theme preference (light, dark, or system theme) is stored locally in your browser for convenience only and is never sent to any server. -
Anonymous analytics only.
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to measure page views anonymously, without storing personal data or using cookies. No IP addresses, user agents, or identifiable data are kept.
2. Your Notes Are Yours
-
No lock-in.
You can export and re-import your notes at any time, with no restrictions. -
Plain-text format.
Exported notes are saved in simple .txt format for safekeeping or reuse elsewhere.
3. Risk of Data Loss and Backup
-
Notes are stored only in your browser.
If you clear your cache, reset your browser, or lose your device, your notes will be permanently lost. -
Back up regularly.
To protect against accidental loss, use Download All Notes frequently.
4. Terms of Use
-
Provided "as is".
My Note Page is a free tool, offered without warranties. We strive to keep it functional, but cannot guarantee continuous uptime or error-free operation. -
User responsibility.
You are responsible for securing your device, making backups, and avoiding storing sensitive or critical data (such as passwords or financial details) in your notes. -
Data loss disclaimer.
We are not liable for any data loss caused by browser resets, cache clearing, device issues, or your own actions (such as using Clear All Notes). -
This policy may change.
We may update this policy in the future. If so, we'll keep it simple, transparent, and aligned with the core values of the app.
5. Technical Specifications
-
Unlimited notes.
You can create an unlimited number of notes, subject to your browser's available storage capacity. -
Note size limit.
Individual notes support up to 50,000 characters (approximately 8,000–10,000 words) to maintain optimal browser performance. This is sufficient for detailed notes, journal entries, or article drafts. -
Browser storage capacity.
Total storage depends on your browser and device, typically ranging from several hundred MB to a few GB. Notes are stored using IndexedDB technology, which is designed for efficient local data management.
6. Offline and App Technology
-
Offline capability.
My Note Page uses Service Worker technology to enable offline access. After your first visit, the app caches static resources (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, fonts) locally in your browser. -
No data collection.
The Service Worker only caches app files to improve performance and enable offline use. It does not access, read, or transmit your notes. -
Install as app.
You can install My Note Page as a Progressive Web App (PWA) on your device ("Add to Home Screen" on mobile, or the install button in your browser's address bar on desktop) for quicker access. Installation is optional and does not change how your notes are stored or affect privacy.
